Medidor o Jigger

Los medidores (en inglés: jigger o jiggers) son esenciales para preparar cócteles y la mayoría de los tragos más populares. Con un medidor se logrará servir, valga la redundancia, la medida perfecta para nuestras preparaciones.
Un medidor consta de una especie de copa en la que se pueden servir las bebidas desde ambos extremos, generalmente uno tiene 1 o 1/2 oz de capacidad en el extremo inferior y 2 o 1 oz en el superior. Allí se vierte la bebida para luego volver a verterse en la mezcla.

Looking at the photo, I had a hard time knowing what is the item. But then I remember that I've encountered this stuff when I was still an Altar server. Yes, this item is being used in a catholic mass and as a sacristan, it is your job to hold it once it's needed by the priest. So many memories came back when I see this photo! Most of the time, I just ignore thing I can't understand, this dialect included. On a normal day, I would just go and exit a tab containing something like this. However, the shape of this object caught my eye. I didn't quite understand what it was at first, but after thinking it through, I understand that it was somewhat of a chalice. I used to serve in the church, so I recognized it. It was kinda weird how it was designed to look like this, I just can't see its purpose whatsoever.
